Join us for the inaugural World Water Day 5K to support safe water initiatives around the globe. All funds raised through the race will go toward a new safe water well through Living Water International's efforts in Liberia.
The event, held at Houston Sports Park, will include a traditional 5K Run/Walk and a Virtual 5K for participants around the country. The 5K Run/Walk is a chip-timed, certified race with awards for top finishers and age group awards. Family-friendly activities will include an interactive "Story of the Thirsty" Water Walk; while collecting water, children and families will learn about the impact of the water crisis on children and families worldwide.
Race registration fees are $30 for registration before February 25, 2017, $35 for registration after February 25, and $40 for day-of registration. Fees include a race bib and t-shirt. Virtual participants will be mailed their race bibs and t-shirts, allowing families, churches or running clubs outside of the Houston area to run together to benefit Living Water International. The "Story of the Thirsty" Water Walk is free for children 16 and under with registration required.
